Health Panel



Local health care professionals have volunteered their time for lakeshore moms. We will have 50 minutes to ask questions and listen to the panel discuss women’s health.

Panel Participants:

Dr. Cathy Boufford- Chiropractor
Dr. Cathy Boufford, Grand Haven’s Women’s Health Chiropractor is passionate about helping women grow healthy families naturally by starting with their own health first! She has loads of experience in helping women with the unique needs and challenges they face. As a working mama of two daughters she has first hand experience and understand the ins and outs of motherhood. Dr. Boufford advocates for self-care because she knows it is true that you can not pour from an empty cup. Happy, healthy families begin with happy, healthy moms!

Dr. Beth Harris, PT, DPT, Pelvic Health Specialist
Beth is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) who specializes in Women’s Health and Orthopedic Physical Therapy at Spectrum Health in North Muskegon. After having her first child during PT school, Beth became passionate about helping women during and after pregnancy. Pelvic Health issues are quite common after pregnancy, but these symptoms do not need to be your “new normal”. Physical therapy can help!

Dr. Jenna Heinert, DO

Jenna Heinert (DO) is an osteopathic physician who practices in the
Mercy Health Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine department. She is
double board certified in family and neuromusculoskeletal medicine.
Osteopathic physicians are fully licensed medical doctors and recognize
the body’s design to maintain and restore health on its own. An
osteopathic physician considers the body as an integrated unit,
comprised of multiple complex functions and interrelated structures.
Dr. Heinert loves seeing patients of all walks of life and has experience
treating newborns for feeding difficulties, recurrent ear infections, and
head shape abnormalities. She loves treating women throughout their
pregnancy to help with pain complaints that may arise from their

Lindsay Collins, LMSW
Lindsay is passionate about helping clients meet their goals in life. She aims to form a partnership with her clients and work as a team. She is genuinely interested in you and your life experiences- past, present, and future. She is experienced with a variety of therapeutic techniques in various environments.  Engaging with her clients in a manner that they are comfortable with is important to Lindsay. Throughout her career, she has found great satisfaction in working with clients struggling with anxiety and depression. 

Bree Manninen, Acupuncturist
Bree Manninen R.Ac.(MI), L.Ac.(MT) earned her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, OR in 2009. She is NCCAOM certified and actively participates in continuing education to expand her knowledge of Chinese Medicine.  Bree loves working with families and has advanced training in Pediatric care.  In addition to her Chinese Medical training, Bree is a certified meditation and mindfulness teacher through McLean Meditation Institute. She offers Acupuncture care, meditation training and Qigong Classes at Lakeshore Family Wellness in Spring Lake.

Dr. Angela May

Dr. May has recently joined North Ottawa Community Health System’s Pediatric Office. She is currently welcoming patients from newborn to 18.
